Nokia Ozo, the new professional camera for virtual reality, now available at Ovide

With a size smaller than a soccer ball and a weight of just over 4 kilos, the new Ozo allows you to collect 360º images thanks to its eight cameras.

This innovative camera, designed from a professional concept, records 360° image and audio for VR productions. It is spherical, its size is smaller than a soccer ball and it weighs just over 4 kilos. To be able to record in 360°, the Nokia Ozo has 8 cameras, each with a field of view of 195° and they have the same separation as our eyes, which allows us to realistically recreate the perspectives during viewing while the user moves with VR glasses.

In the field of virtual reality, audio is as important as the image, which is why the Nokia Ozo has been equipped with 8 microphones to provide three-dimensional audio. The camera has a cartridge that groups the recorder and the battery, thus avoiding external wiring that interferes with the 360° vision.

Ovide has also incorporated a large number of accessories for VR: Zeiss VR Glasses, Oculus VR Glasses, VR Rigs, supports and mini VR/180° cameras in addition to the 360 Abyss underwater housing that will be available shortly.

The rental and audiovisual services company has opened a special section on its website with all the material available to tackle 360 virtual reality productions. Soon, Ovide will make several presentations of the Nokia Ozo in its offices in Barcelona, Madrid and Bilbao.
