The latest from Avid, at BIT 2016, from its main partners in Spain

The latest Avid solutions will be exhibited at BIT 2016 at the stands of Grupo Area, Aicox Soluciones, Data Media and CSS Audiovisual.

Avid did not want to miss the Professional Audiovisual Technology Show, BIT 2016, in order to present its latest solutions for broadcast, audio and video production and post-production. The multinational will be present in this edition through its main partners in Spain: Area Group, Aicox Solutions, Data Average y CSS Audiovisual.

Data Media will focus on two main areas: collaborative audiovisual production and graphics.

In the first area, the tools of the Avid MediaCentral platform will be shown, ranging from the latest version of Media Composer, now much easier to use thanks to the new user interface that allows access to tools and functions more quickly, more intuitive and productive, to the web-based editing tools MediaCentral UX that provides the necessary capabilities to work with the hundreds and thousands of hours of gross that are generated in a typical television job. Furthermore, all the people who contribute to the creative process can do so without having to be in the same place. By using the web interface, you can access all the media and collaborate with the editing staff and be more involved in the post-production process to be able to finish projects in even shorter times, working with Interplay.

Interplay MAM makes it easy to find and locate audiovisual materials, and thanks to its full integration with the Avid MediaCentral platform, you can use the web-based interface of MediaCentral UX together with Media Index and make all production and archival material stored in multiple systems, both local and remote, accessible to all potential users, whether they are in the main center or at remote sites. Avid MediaCentral Platform is the foundation for a completely enhanced media workflow that allows you to improve efficiency, collaborate remotely, and access projects and media from anywhere.

For the first time in Spain, Data will present the new Nexis shared storage system, the new generation of storage virtualization for media that raised so much expectation at the last NAB.

In the graphics area, the Avid TD Control suite, the innovative studio screen control and management solution, will be displayed. Easily control and manage multiple high-resolution non-standard studio displays simultaneously from a single touch interface. With TD Control, you can assign audiovisual media to any display, whether it's real-time 3D graphics, live video, and multiple video clips and images in different orientations, resolutions (up to 16K), and aspect ratios.

The new Avid 4Designer, the creation software that is the foundation of all Avid real-time graphics systems. Provides all the tools you need to create stunning visual content for news, elections, sporting events, weather reports, financial reports and much more. Also on display will be Avid Maestro, the complete solution for live broadcast graphics, allowing you to easily create, combine and play stunning high-resolution graphics and animations.

Aicox

Entre los sistemas de Avid que Aicox presentará su stand 12C05 en BIT Broadcast 2016 encontraremos soluciones para gráficos en tiempo real, channel branding, videoservidores de estudio y repetición. Aicox cuenta con una larga experiencia en estos y otros sistemas de Avid Graphics en entornos de escenarios virtuales o enriquecimiento deportivo.

Among these solutions, 3DPlay stands out, offering a set of tools that allow the simple creation of interesting brand customization graphics in real time to announce upcoming programs and reduce the image to insert advertisements, as well as for promotions, multiple tickers... It also allows integration with all automation systems.

Together with Avid 4Designer, the creation software that underpins all Avid real-time graphics systems, it provides all the tools you need to create stunning visual content for news, elections, sporting events, weather reports, financial reports and more.

VJ, on the other hand, is a powerful video server platform optimized for fast studio production environments based on Avid's range of HDVS video servers.

As for PlayMaker, it is an advanced slow motion playback server designed for live sporting events. In addition, it improves productivity and reduces delivery times. PlayMaker offers up to eight channels of high-quality ingest I/O across multiple video formats, synchronized slow-motion playback, import and export to NLE systems, and powerful yet simple editing tools.

Group Area and CSS

At stand 12C13 we will also find powerful Avid solutions from Grupo Area, which will show relevant developments from its Suena Area and Broadcast Area divisions such as the latest improvements to the Pro Tools 12 software, as well as a variety of hardware and software accessories from third-party manufacturers designed for this popular system such as Genelec, Solid State Logic, Slate Media Technology, Minnetonka Audio...

Area Broadcast will demonstrate a fully automated production flow (Workflow AB) and integrated for the production of fiction, TV movies or reality shows. Designed to automate from ingestion to finishing or delivery, the broadcaster or production company will only have to worry about the content, having all the technical part resolved beforehand.

At the core of this solution we find Avid with storage with Isis and Nexis; media management with Interplay and Media Central; and editing with Media Composer. The workflow is completed by solutions for ingestion, nearline and archiving, Quales as QC, and Quantel Rio from SAM as the finishing system, constituting an environment in which the media flows in an automated way based on hot folders.

Finally, it should be noted that CSS Audiovisual will exhibit the new Pro Tools S6 control surface and the solutions, Pro Tools Dock and Pro Tools 12.5, at stand 12E03.
