Avid today made several key announcements related to the Avid MediaCentral Platform and its associated modular application suites, delivering on the promises of Avid Everywhere. These innovations address the media industry's biggest challenges, so everyone, from individual artists and creative teams to the world's largest media companies, can create, distribute and manage content in a way that helps them realize greater value from their media assets.

New Studio Suite Strengthens the Value of Broadcast Production: Avid has announced the new Studio Suite, a new set of products that enables collaboration between customers using Orad solutions and other Avid and third-party products on the Avid MediaCentral Platform. Featuring deep integration with existing Avid solutions, the Studio Suite includes real-time 3D graphics, video servers, sports reinforcement, virtual sets and video wall solutions from Orad, industry-leading, helping customers build stronger brands, keep pace with 24-hour news cycles and quickly create engaging sports programming.

In terms of innovations in Media Suite, Avid has announced that the Interplay MAM asset management solution now supports Adobe Premiere and Apple Final Cut Pro

In shared storage, Avid has unveiled its new Avid Isis 1000, Isis 5500 and Isis 7500 solutions that now support a wider variety of editing applications, including Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Apple Final Cut Pro and Grass Valley Edius Workgroup 8, allowing editors to collaborate efficiently at any resolution, process projects faster and operate with greater cost efficiency.

Avid has announced that the sale of hundreds of systems in the first week of availability shows that creative teams and video professionals around the world are adopting Avid Isis 1000 to speed workflows and improve collaboration.

Regarding the Artist Suite area, the company now has Avid All Access, a complete family of subscription options that brings even greater value to existing service plans and subscriptions. With the initial offering of Pro Tools, Avid All Access introduces several benefits, including immediate access to all available software enhancements, premium customer support, the inclusion of a premium AAX plug-in effects package, and early access to training opportunities for professionals and industry leaders. Avid plans to release All Access plans for Media Composer and Sibelius in the future, with more value and additional services.

Finally, Avid announced that Pro Tools S6, which has sold 800 systems worldwide, is gaining momentum with innovative new workflows thanks to version 2.0 software and additional mixing modules. The newly announced S6 Master Post Module gives mixers the advanced control they need to deliver the biggest, most immersive soundtracks.
