With a presence in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia and Chile, the film distributor lands in Europe and opens its first office in Madrid.

A benchmark in Latin America, Diamond Films is now taking the step to fully enter film distribution in Spain. Gonzalo Claiman-Versini and Carles Montiel will lead the Spanish subsidiary of this distributor.

Owned by Tomás Darcyl, Ricardo Costianovsky and Diego Halabi, the company is linked to the Telefilms group, a group that for 55 years has managed the rights for Latin America for major films and series. Currently, it distributes more than 30 titles a year on all platforms and maintains alliances with the main international production companies and distributors.

Diamond Films begins its activity with five titles with a marked commercial profile. Debuts on July 29 with Bad Mothers, a fun comedy from the creators of The Hangover, Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, starring Mila Kunis (Black Swan), Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) and Kathryn Hahn (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty). Three mothers, workers and perfect wives who explode under the pressure of their reality.

Next to Bad Mothers, arrives The Founder, a drama starring Michael Keaton (Spotlight, Birdman), and directed by John Lee Hancock (Maleficent, Snow White and the Huntsman), based on the biography of Ray Kroc, founder of the world's largest fast food empire.

It also brings to our screens Never say his name (Bye, Bye Man), a horror film by Stacy Title (The Devil Wears Black, The Last Supper), which revolves around the existence of a supernatural entity that kills everyone who discovers its identity. The film stars Douglas Smith (Percy Jackson and the Sea of ​​Monsters, Big Love), Lucien Laviscount (Honeytrap) and Cressida Bonas (Tulip Fever).

Along with these titles, Diamond Films Spain will also release the youth romantic drama in 2016 A Space Between us, directed by Peter Chelsom (Serendipity, shall we dance?), and played by Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight, Batman Begins) Asa Butterfield (The boy in the striped pajamas) and Carla Gugino (Watchmen, San Andrés) which tells the story of impossible love between the first man born on Mars and a young girl and Hardcore Henry, a wild and original adventure, in which viewers experience a frenetic story in first person, performed by Danila Kozlovsky, Sharlto Copley and Haley Bennett and produced by Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted).

Diamond Films has its own headquarters in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia and Chile and from now on with the first European headquarters in Spain (Madrid).
