Creator of the popular TVE series 'The Footprint of Crime', Costa received two Goyas for his work in 'Amantes' and 'La Buena Estrella'.

The Catalan-born filmmaker Pedro Costa Musté died this Wednesday in Torrelodones (Madrid) at the age of 74, after a long illness.

Born in Barcelona in 1941, Costa was the creator of the popular TVE series The trace of crimeHe also directed for television The Wanninkhof case The crime of the Marquises of Urquijo o Anabel's kidnapping.

Costa made his debut as a film director with The Almería case, in 1984. In addition to being a screenwriter and director, Pedro Costa produced twenty films with directors such as Ricardo Franco, Vicente Aranda, José Antonio Quirós and Eduard Cortés

After hearing the news of the death of the film director and producer Pedro Costa, the acting Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Íñigo Méndez de Vigo, recalled the figure of a man "to whom we owe some of the most relevant titles in Spanish cinema. We lose a multifaceted person. A man who has worked as a screenwriter, director and producer, highly recognized by professionals in the world of film and television, as evidenced by the two Goyas he won for his work as a producer in Lovers, directed by Vicente Aranda and The good star, by Ricardo Franco.”
