López-Puertas will join IFEMA on July 11, replacing Fermín Lucas, who is retiring after directing the entity for the last 18 years.

This concludes a professional selection process carried out by a headhunting company in recent months, in accordance with the mandate of the entity's governing bodies and its renewed Statutes.

Higher Industrial Technical Engineer from ICAI, Specialty in Industrial Management and Organization, Eduardo López-Puertas, 48 ​​years old, also has a Postgraduate in Business and Management from Warwick University, and a Manager Development Program, PDD, from IESE, in addition to different specialization courses in economics and marketing at the University of Berkeley, California. He began his professional activity at Continente, a company in which, as Carrefour, he became the director of National Logistics, Transport and Import-Export. At TNT Express Spain he successively held the positions of operations director; director of Customer Service, and director of HR, Quality, Communication and CSR. Likewise, he has been vice president of Operations and onboard sales at Pullmantur, and director of Operations for the VIPS Group, his current responsibility. He speaks English and French, and has knowledge of Italian and Portuguese.

Eduardo López-Puertas will join IFEMA on July 11, replacing Fermín Lucas, who is retiring after directing the entity for the last 18 years, during which time important milestones have been reached in the development of the institution.

The new general director will work closely with the president of the IFEMA Executive Committee, Clemente González Soler, a prestigious businessman who was recently unanimously appointed by the consortium entities to lead this new stage of the Madrid Fair.
