NexGuardThe Swiss group Kudelski has announced the purchase of 100% of NexGuard Labs (Previously in the hands of Civolution), specialized in Digital Content Water Brand Solutions. This operation expands the portfolio of end -to -end content protection solutions of Kudelski, enriching the existing offer for content owners and payment television operators.

Nexguard Labs, based in the Netherlands and offices in Los Angeles, New York, London, Dubai and Rennes (France), offers a wide portfolio of digital water brand tools in order to help owners and distributors of multimedia content to protect their rights and manage their assets.
With a turnover of 90 million dollars and more than 50 clients worldwide, the Kudelski group has three decades of experience in the protection of content for payment television operators and content owners.

André Kudelski, CEO of Kudelski Group, has recognized that "Nexguard's acquisition further reinforces our content protection offer and represents a key milestone in the execution of our growth strategy in the security area."

Digital water marks is a key component in the content protection chain, helping to prevent illegal exchange and guaranteeing the complete traceability of the content. The use of this technology has become an important requirement by content owners, especially in relation to 4K and High Dynamic Range or live distribution of sporting events. It also helps payment television operators ensure that the content is not distributed illegally.

The technology developed by Nexguard does not harm the viewer's experience and is robust in the face of a serious degradation of the content. This purchase will now reinforce Kudelski's water brand technology, Anymark, and will be available on all digital television products in the group.
