Without a doubt, this year's edition of the IBC Awards has been high. The IBC awards organization connected live this Sunday evening with the International Space Station at more than 400 kilometers above sea level, from where astronaut Kate Rubins accepted the special award given to NASA.

On Earth, the popular voice of the agency's space missions in recent decades, Kelly O. Humphries, assured that at NASA "we don't want people to watch our videos, we want them to get involved with them...".

Since Neil Armstrong took the first steps on the moon on July 20, 1969, the North American space agency has collected impressive images from space, always using the latest technology available. In addition, NASA regularly collaborates with manufacturers in the broadcast industry to develop new projects. Among NASA's latest bets, its new channel in Ultra High Definition 4K stands out.

Ang Lee, pioneer

The other protagonist of the night was director Ang Lee, whom the IBC Awards recognized with the special jury award for his commitment to technological innovation in cinematography. The director of films like Sense and Sensibility, Brokeback Mountain, Tiger and Dragon o life of pi has always stood out for the use of new technologies in its productions. Precisely at this IBC you can see a preview of what will be his last film, Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, in 3D, at 120 fps, with 4K resolution and 6P laser brightness.
