Canon lenses
Ovide, in collaboration with Hurí TV and its 4K mobile unit, are presenting these days at the 4K-UHD Summit in Seville the new range of Canon 4K lenses, both in Box and ENG versions. Specifically, attendees will be able to check the possibilities of the Canon Box UJ86x9.3BIE optics and the ENG Canon CJ20ex7.8 IASE S and CJ12ex4.3B lenses.
Regarding UJ86x9.3BIE, it is a 27 kilo Box lens with a focal length of between 9.3-800mm and a maximum aperture of F/1.7. It has a duplicator and stabilizer and its mount is a 2/3” 12-pin B4.
As for the CJ12ex4.3B model, it should be noted that it is the widest 2/3" 4K ENG lens in the world with a focal length of 4.3-52mm (up to 104mm using the built-in duplicator). Together with its sister lens, the 20-156mm CJ20ex7.8B, they are ideal lenses for shoulder-mounted camera recordings thanks to their weight and dimensions, similar to those of 2/3" HD lenses.
On the occasion of the Summit, Ovide has also provided the cameras Grass Valley LDX86 in its 4K version with which the live institutional signal of this event is being produced. The LDX-86 offers great flexibility, it has a 2/3” sensor, 16:9 aspect ratio and full sensor lenses capable of generating images at 3820x2160 pixels.
