Ovide exhibits its new video assistance equipment at IBC 2019
As a novelty, in this IBC, Ovide launches the Smart DMT One, which directly reads the camera card or disk to transform and process the RAW clips to the chosen format; and Smart Stream, which sends streaming video to iPhones or iPads.
One more year, Ovid exhibits at its IBC stand its successful video assistance equipment that is being used in film and advertising shoots by production companies around the world.
As a novelty, on this occasion, Ovide releases the Smart DMT One, which directly reads the camera card or disk to transform and process RAW clips to the chosen format. It is also capable of copying, auditing and examining the quality of clips.
It also sees the light in this IBC, the Ovide Smart Stream, which sends streaming video to iPhones or iPads. During filming, each iOS device linked to Smart Stream has independent access to the filmed clips and can choose any clip and play it regardless of what is being filmed or what the rest of the devices are doing.
It is noteworthy that the new Ovide equipment has not been designed for video assistance but rather tries to promote workflow during filming since they are easy to use and incorporate useful and semi-automatic actions.
On the other hand, both teams continue with the Ovide Smart philosophy since they work with the software Qtake, are manufactured with Ovide's own electronics, with high quality materials and have standardized measurements for mounting in racks.
Both Ovide Smart DMT One and Stream are in the pre-production phase, although pre-orders can now be made since the first units will begin to be delivered at the end of the year.
Smart Evo+
At the Ovide stand at the RAI we can also see it in action Smart Evo+, its most complete and compact video assistance, with 2 versions “4 Evo+” (with 4 inputs and 12 video outputs) and “2 Evo+” (with 2 inputs and 6 video outputs). This new version is even more powerful and consumes less battery than its predecessor.
On the other hand, Ovide Smart Dock It is an ideal video assistance solution to get started in the sector from an Apple computer that becomes a hub with 2 inputs and 6 video outputs.
Ovide will also have the presence of the creators of QTake who, in addition to representing their software, will present other new features. After IBC, Ovide Smart equipment will continue with its “road show” around the world at fairs such as Cine Gear Atlanta (October), Inter BEE (Tokyo, November), MicroSalon Madrid (November), BSC (London, January)...
