This year, Atresmedia Cine has released ten feature films and, before the end of the year, it plans to release two more: 'The Queen of Spain' (November 25) and 'Villaviciosa de al lado' (December 2).

Atresmedia Cine Projects for 2017

Atresmedia Cine presented its new projects this morning in Madrid. Mikel Lejarza and Mercedes Gamero, president and general director of Atresmedia Cine, have been in charge of taking stock of the production company's activity.

Lejarza has assured that "we are the largest film factory in Spain. We know of few companies like ours that release as many films as we do."

In 2016, Atresmedia Cine has released ten feature films and, before the end of the year, it plans to release two more: The Queen of Spain (November 25) and Villaviciosa next door (December 2).

Although cinema is “a sector where being profitable is not easy,” Lejarza pointed out, this year the production company has carried out projects such as we have to talk, by Kike Maíllo; elite body, by Joaquín Mazón; Zipi and Zape and Captain's Island, by Óskar Santos; The man of a thousand faces u Ozzy, both by Alberto Rodríguez.

Regarding the new projects for 2017, Atresmedia Cine will bring the thriller to theaters Setback, of Oriol Paulo; Escape plan, by Iñaki Dorronsoro; and the second installment of The invisible guardian, by Fernando González Molina, among others.

For next year, Atresmedia Cine is finalizing its first film with Álex de la Iglesia, The bar. Also in the comedy genre, it will screen in theaters Abracadabra, by Pablo Berger. the drama Immersion, by Win Weners; the film based on the story by Pérez Reverte, Oro, directed by Agustín Díaz Yanes; The fog and the maiden by Álvaro Díaz Lorenzo; The laws of Thermodynamics by Mateo Gil, the film adaptation of the successful play Knock Knock, by Vicente Villanueva; Thi Mai by Patricia Ferreira; and the new from Rodrigo Cortés, Down a dark hall, complete the list of projects for 2027.

For 2018 they are already working on new projects with Sorogoyen, Dani de la Torre and Oriol Paulo.

The president of Atresmedia Cine wanted to highlight the work of his team, ensuring that “developing so many projects is brutal work and I am proud to have this great team.
