Atresmedia presents its next film projects at the San Sebastián Festival
Jaime Ortíz de Artiñano, general director of Atresmedia Cinema, the Atresmedia division dedicated to the creation, production and promotion of cinematographic films, has presented within the framework of the San Sebastián International Film Festival the new projects and the strategic line in this new stage, since its arrival in office a year ago.
The production company, which has been telling stories for more than 20 years through more than 150 projects and more than 450 million euros of investment, remains faithful to its commitment to the national film sector, betting on a variety of projects that make up a solid release schedule for the coming months.
Ortiz de Artiñano, has taken advantage of the occasion to highlight the strategic pillars for the producer, such as association and collaboration with all industry agents; distributors of both major film studios and independents; he tounconditional support to the exhibition sector; and special mention to independent producers as well as the association with talents to create an offer of films that allows Spanish cinema to recover pre-pandemic collection levels and continue growing.
Among the more than 15 projects presented, in different phases of development, the next comedy by Arantxa Echevarría stood out, Politically Incorrect whose premiere is scheduled for next February 23. The next animation production, Buffalo Kids, which will be released on August 30 and Shadow Valley, a blockbuster directed by Salvador Calvo and starring Miguel Herrán that premieres on January 12.
Among the filming in which Atresmedia Cine will participate in 2024, the following stand out: The Benetón family, directed by Joaquín Mazón; Who is who, directed by Martín Cuervo; Marco, new film by Aitor Arregi and Jon Garaño; House on fire, Dani's new project from the Order; AP6, a thriller directed by Dani Calpasorro; Karateka, directed by Aritz Moreno; Journey to the country of the whites, directed by Dani Sancho; either The force of destiny, an epic story of love and friendship directed by Fernando González Molina.
