Óscar Graefenhain assumes the general direction of the ICAA
Lorena González's replacement at the head of the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts had served since 2015 as general director of Sports of the Higher Sports Council.
The Council of Ministers, at the proposal of the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Íñigo Méndez de Vigo, approved this Friday the appointment of Óscar Graefenhain as general director of the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts, replacing Lorena González.
Born on April 15, 1974, he has a degree in Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid; He completed the last year of his degree with an Erasmus scholarship at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. He belongs to the Superior Body of Civil Administrators of the State.
He has worked in the General Subdirectorate of the Autonomous Legal Regime of the Ministry of Public Administrations, in the Cabinet of the Undersecretariat of the Ministry of Justice and in the General Directorate of the National Geographic Institute. He was head of the Cabinet of the undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs and director of the Cabinet of the Secretary of State for Territorial Cooperation. He was general director of Administrative Organization and Procedures in the Ministry of Public Administrations, general director of Institutional Relations in the Ministry of Development, and advisor in the Cabinet of the Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Transport and Housing.
Since August 2015, he has served as general director of Sports of the Higher Sports Council, a position he has held to this day.
Graefenhain has also been a director of Public Organizations and Companies, the State Mobile Park, Hipódromo de la Zarzuela, Correos, JAIZKIBIA and ADIF.
