María Teresa Gómez Condado assumes the general direction of AMETIC
The Multisector Association of Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies, Telecommunications and Digital Content Companies (AMETIC) has appointed María Teresa Gómez Condado as the new general director of the association, replacing Benigno Lacort, now director of expansion and associative development of the organization.
Gómez Condado brings extensive and diversified experience in both public and private companies, where she has held positions of high responsibility, such as deputy director general of Planning and Selection of Human Resources in the Ministry of Public Administrations; general director of the Muface State Civil Servants Mutual Society; undersecretary of the Ministries of Industry, Tourism and Commerce and Science and Innovation; president of the Patent and Trademark Office OEPM; president of the EOI Business School; advisor of Red.es, as well as vice president of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (Fecyt).
In the private and business spheres, she has been director of Institutional Banking at Banco Santander; general secretary of Defense Systems Engineering (Isdefe); advisor of the State Society of Industrial Participations (Sepi); president of the Foundation for the Infotechnological Development of Companies and Society (Fundetec) and vice president of the Brand Forum.
With a degree in Law and Political Science and Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid and a diploma in French Language and Civilization from the Sorbonne University in Paris, Mª Teresa Gómez Condado has a Master's degree in General Management from IESE Business School and a Gold Master's Degree from the Senior Management Forum. She currently held the positions of Director of Chamber Coordination of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Independent Advisor at AENOR International.
AMETIC sources have indicated that Gómez Condado will contribute new energy, ideas and experience that will complement those of the rest of the management team and will be of great help to achieve the objectives that the employers' association has set. “Its incorporation should be understood as a commitment to the future, given the challenges and opportunities that the evolution and growth of the digital economy pose to us and that Ametic must assume as the most representative association of the digital industry.”
