Rey-Cabarcos assumes the general direction of content at Plural
The audiovisual production company of the PRISA group will reinforce its commitment to fiction and entertainment with the appointment of José Manuel Rey-Cabarcos as the new general director of content.
Plural Entertainment has reinforced its commitment to fiction and entertainment with the appointment of Rey-Cabarcos, until now director of production and content for the production company.
Plural Entertainment is now in the development phase of new fictions and various entertainment formats for the main Spanish commercial chains. The appointment of Rey-Cabarcos boosts the commitment to growth in both the national and international markets. Plural also maintains its expansion in regional television stations for which it currently produces stable programming of different genres. The general management direction continues with Modesto Rubio at the helm.
José Manuel Rey-Cabarcos (Santiago de Compostela, 1957), has a degree in Art History from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a PhD in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid. Dedicated to television since 1985 as a Producer and Coordinator of programs at the beginning of Televisión de Galicia (TVG), he was Broadcasting Producer (news, sports and programs) until 1998, and Head of broadcasting and international channels until 2000. From 2000 to 2005 he held management positions at Grupo Trimagen and Multipark. His last professional stage was as Production Director of TVG from 2005 until he joined Plural in July 2009, first as Head of Production and then as Director of Production and Content.
