The contest, endowed with 1.4 million euros, will allow to resume the new continuity project that began in 2011 and was suspended by the closure of Channel Nou.

The Rector Council of the Valencian Corporation of Mitjans de Comunicació (CVMC) has approved the contest proposal aimed at awarding the systems and services contract necessary for the implementation of its new multichannel continuity, including high definition signals. To this end, the maximum government of the entity and in charge of financial management has provided the contest with 1.4 million euros (VAT included).

Now, the contest must be published in the Official Gazette of the European Union counting the companies interested with a period of 49 days from that moment to present the offers.

It should be noted that the project of the new continuity of the, then Channel Nou, began in 2011, being paralyzed at the end of 2013 when the PP government decided to cill the public media corporation. The objective of the Governing Board is to take advantage of the material that is in conditions to make the most of the tendered budget that will be intended for the purchase of new equipment.

Brand change

On the other hand, the CVMC has convened a contest for the new Valencian Radiotelevision of a corporate identity. To this contest, endowed with 5,000 euros, both professionals and students with experience or knowledge in graphic design, advertising and marketing that are born, resident or located in the Valencian Community can be presented.

Since its publication in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (Dogv) the candidates will have a month to present their proposals. Among the criteria that will be assessed for the selection of the name is the "promotion of the Valencian language and culture, the contribution to the vertebration of the territory of the Community or the durability criteria".

Closed that term will also choose three finalist companies to develop corporate identity based on the professional portfolio they present. These three companies, which will also receive a prize of 5,000 euros each, must develop their proposals for a maximum period of 45 days based on the selected name. At the end of these deadlines, the company that is winning will also be rewarded with 30,000 euros.
