José Antonio López assumes the presidency of Ericsson Spain
Following the retirement of Ingemar Naeve, who had held this position for five years, the CEO of Ericsson Spain also assumes the role of president of the board.
José Antonio López Muñoz, CEO of Ericsson Spain, also assumes the role of president of the board this month, following the retirement of Ingemar Naeve, who had held this position for five years.
Since January 2012, López Muñoz is responsible for Ericsson's business and operations in Spain, Portugal, Andorra and Gibraltar, including customer relations, Research and Development (R&D) activities and interaction with governments and regulators. He also leads the global activities of the Telefónica Group account and is a member of the board of directors of Ericsson in the Mediterranean Region.
José Antonio López has consolidated Ericsson's leadership in Iberia. In Spain, Ericsson is the telecommunications provider with the largest investment in R&D and the only one that participates in all the 4G deployments that are currently carried out in the country. He has also been responsible for leading the company's transformation in this region, positioning Ericsson in new markets such as IT, TV or Cloud. López champions the importance of ICT to enhance the growth of the countries of the Iberian Peninsula through innovation, talent and sustainable business solutions.
López has been part of the Ericsson group for about ten years, during which he has held various functions in Spain and Stockholm.
