Aire Networks expands its Perseo TV television platform and new 4G LTE services with Interxion
This audiovisual platform in cloud mode will allow cable operators to deploy their own television offering in less than a month, which may include their own content.
The telecommunications operator Aire Networks has expanded with Interxion Madrid its Perseo TV television platform and 4G LTE services.
Aire Networks, a Spanish company that defines itself as an operator of operators, offers an extensive portfolio of services to cable operators, companies and public organizations.
It has more than 21,000 km of its own network, covering 90% of the Spanish territory through fiber optics, radio links and its own 4G network. Aire has developed Perseo TV, a television platform to deploy video streaming services and live television channels in OTT or IPTV environments.
This audiovisual platform in cloud mode, developed entirely by Aire Networks' Research, Development and Innovation unit, allows cable operators to deploy their own television offering in less than a month, and may include their own content. The technology used allows growth up to 200 thousand simultaneous end users, considering that between 30 and 40% connect during peak hours using an average of 1Mbps per user.
Raúl Armero, Marketing Director of Aire Networks, emphasizes that "this technological solution arises in response to the growing need of local telecommunications operators who want to offer their customers convergent value-added packages such as television, all with the peace of mind of having a single provider that looks after their interests and simplifies their procedures."
Aire Networks' 4G services are based on a 100% neutral electronic communications access and transport network that allows other operators to provide high-speed broadband services, focusing on those areas where they currently do not have these services.
Both the wide range of connectivity and the excellence of the data center have been key in choosing Interxion for the expansion of Aire Networks services. More than 70 telecommunications operators and the presence of two neutral points (DE-CIX and ESpanix) allow the operator of operators to receive and deploy their services in an agile and secure manner.
Zigor Gaubeca, director of network engineering at Aire Networks, highlights that "the Perseo TV service requires high connection capacities, and although Aire has its own data centers in Spain, Holland, the United Kingdom and the United States, Interxion's role is fundamental to guarantee the present and future interconnection of the main telecommunications operators."
Interxion has a broad customer base in 42 data centers in 11 European countries. With more than 600 connectivity providers, access to 21 European Neutral Points and the presence of the main cloud and digital media platforms, connectivity, cloud, content and finance nodes have been created at Interxion to accommodate the growing communities of interest.
