Ateme's Titan Platform Enables New IPTV/OTT Services at Saudi Telecom

Including IPTV, VOD and OTT services, this project is one of the first in which all three delivery technologies are integrated through a single transcoding platform.

Atem has managed to close an important agreement to implement its Titan platform in the Middle East for the first time.

Ateme file transcoding software was first deployed by Intigral in early 2012 for video-on-demand delivery to STC's IPTV customers in Saudi Arabia, but has now been replaced by the Titan platform to support new OTT services.

Intigral lleva a cabo actualmente la agregación de contenidos en su centro de operaciones en Dubai y luego distribuye a STC mediante enlace de fibra de 155 Mbps. Este servicio incluirá IPTV, VOD y OTT, por lo que éste será uno de los primeros casos en que las tres tecnologías de entrega están integrados a través de una plataforma única de transcodificación. Intigral actualmente cuenta con 20 nodos de Titan y planea instalar más cuando el servicio se expanda.

Actualmente, la plataforma da servicio a 35.000 clientes de IPTV, aunque Intigral prevé tener 70.000 a finales de 2012, y entre 200.000 y 300.000 para el año 2015.
