Tedial will propose a revolution in storage management at NAB 2017

New storage virtualization possibilities through its Evolution Augmented STorage (AST) solution and collaboration with Pebble Beach in terms of automation will mark the presence of the Spanish company at NAB 2017.

Tedial aims to revolutionize storage management with the presentation at NAB 2017 of Evolution Augmented STorage (AST), a new concept in storage virtualization systems that expands and extends the classic paradigm of hierarchical storage management (HSM).

AST provides a heterogeneous ecosystem to handle any type of media content regardless of its physical location and facilitates media operations such as timecode-based editing or efficient management of large UHD or low-compression files across multiple sites and around the world.

Treating content as an object that includes an innovative minimal metadata package allows storage to operate independently of MAM solutions, allowing you to archive and publish content and easily integrate with third-party systems maximizing simplicity and efficiency.

The AST system virtualizes file locations enabling multi-site operations, cloud workflows, or hybrid scenarios. For those customers managing a multi-site distributed operation, AST can transparently manage the same content across multiple locations, automating task assignment and data transfer across multiple sites as needed.

The platform is based on a widely flexible and scalable architecture and provides the highest security and content protection by requiring authentication. Different groups are assigned different levels of access and retention policies can be easily defined to protect content and limit access, it was reported.

Multiverse

NAB 2017 will also mark the debut of Multiverse, the result of a close integration between the Marine automation system of Pebble Beach and Tedial's advanced MAM Evolution to offer one of the most flexible multi-platform media preparation and delivery solutions in the industry. The platform creates a seamless workflow between MAM, playback systems and VOD services, efficiently solving the distribution challenges of linear and non-linear channels.

By processing media once for all platforms, Multiverse unifies and streamlines workflows across both linear and on-demand content and enables easy management of media assets and automation of tasks such as live VOD production while significantly reducing operational costs and minimizing the number of systems required.

This approach also allows different versions of media assets to be created for playback and automatic addition to Evolution MAM, which in turn allows Marina to delete old media from her playlist and transfer new items to playback.
