Dolby launches the IMS3000 integrated multimedia server that combines Dolby image and audio processing in a single unit

Coinciding with Cinemacon in Las Vegas, Dolby He has announced the launch of its new integrated multimedia server Dolby IMS3000 that combines Dolby image and sound processing in a single unit that together with the Multicanal Dolby amplifier and the SLS Express series, offer an integrated and complete solution from 5.1 to Dolby Atmos.

Jed Harmsen, senior director of film products, admits that “the industry needs a way to offer its consumers an extraordinary entertainment experience at its own pace and without having to spend large amounts of money. The SLS Express Series with Multichannel Dolby amplifier allow Dolby Atmos and Dolby Audio installation to be cheaper for exhibitors, while maintaining the highest sound standard for rooms of all sizes.

Being an innovative image server and audio processor in a single device, Dolby IMS3000 provides reliability and allows the exhibitors to project their films with a superior quality sound. The solution also offers sound flexibility, since exhibitors can begin with Dolby Audio 5.1 or 7.1, and discover the power of Dolby Atmos later. Thanks to the unified user interface of the IMS3000 DOLBY and its simplified design, the installation and operation is more comfortable and profitable, helping to create a film experience that will fascinate the spectators. The IMS3000 is also compatible with the Fidelio and Captiview Accessibility Teams of Dolby.

This advanced high density design can replace up to 16 stereo amplifiers, occupies less space on the shelves and produces less heat, which reduces the total cost. Having to install, feed and maintain less equipment, exhibitors get a cleaner and more efficient installation. The Multicanal Dolby amplifier is available in two configurations of 24 or 32 channels.

Series SLS Express

It is also novelty the launch of the SLS Express series of three -axle SLS speakers, which reproduce an exceptionally clear and powerful sound in a lighter and smaller format, which can be installed more easily and in less time. It also has a rapid installation system suspended SLS that simplifies the installation of suspended speakers reducing the cost of labor and inactivity time of the room. This new equipment can be added to different installation options, since it is integrated without problems with existing or new equipment, which offers exhibitors greater flexibility when equipping rooms of any size. The series also include the first Multichannel Dolby amplifier, a new and advanced design that can replace up to 12 stereo amplifiers.
