Studer Micro Series: Integrated digital audio production mixing and broadcasting
With features and functionality of a high-end mixing system, it incorporates powerful functions such as AOIP, Lexicon effects processing or VoiceMix automatic mixing.
Studer is showcasing its new Micro Studer Series compact digital audio mixing system in the Harman Group space at NAB 2017. With features and functionality of a high-end mixing system, it incorporates powerful functions such as AOIP, Lexicon effects processing or VoiceMix automatic mixing. Studer Micro Series is designed for radio and television studios, post-production and mobile units.
With full control from any standard web browser or tablet, the Studer Micro Series offers everything you need for installation in one box. The Studer Micro Series hub unit is a rugged 3RU core, fanless, rack-mount chassis with integrated I/O, DSP and a control system that is hosted by an internal web server.
Unlike other streaming solutions that require expensive add-ons, the serial core features AOIP with eight channels of DANTE I/O.
The core can be controlled using the intuitive graphical interface via the web browser, or with the optional balance control surface.
This architecture makes it an option to take into account for performing live shows from anywhere or as an interface for remote transmission.
Every function of the core unit can be controlled through the intuitive graphical user interface (GUI). Simply open the web browser on your computer or tablet using LAN or Wi-Fi, type the IP address of the core, and the GUI appears, without the need to install any software.
A single device can control multiple core units, and conversely, multiple devices can control a single core simultaneously.
The Studer Micro Series Web-based GUI allows you to move freely anywhere in the mixing environment. The surfaces are represented graphically, to allow a potentially large surface to be displayed on a small screen. This represents a huge cost savings opportunity by eliminating the need for a large, virtually expensive control surface.
fader controller
Many live broadcasters appreciate the touch of physical touch controls; faders are essential for quick and seamless level adjustment for multi-tasking, allowing the operator to work with the system by touch. The unit features 6 faders offering simplified controls for live operation. Two drivers can be tied to a single core for a maximum surface size of 12 dimmers.
The head unit features the same inputs as the popular Studer Vista 1 and OnAir 1500 mixers, as well as the compact Stagebox I/O rack.
Studer offers in this kit eight AOIP DANTE I/O connections, two Lexicon stereo effects processing engines, and an integrated stereo track player/recorder. Additionally, the patented VoiceMix algorithm alleviates high-pressure streaming situations by automatically mixing and processing up to 12 inputs.
