Enensys completes acquisition of TeamCast

Enensys has completed the acquisition of TeamCast. The combined group will provide an extensive range of solutions and software across the entire video delivery infrastructure, especially in ATSC3.0, DVB-T2 and DVB-S2/S2X.
Regis LE Roux, President and CEO of Enensys, highlighted "the announcement of the acquisition was received very positively by the market. The fact that there is essentially no overlap in the product range makes it easy for our respective customers."
The acquisition was expected to close before the end of the second quarter of 2017, but moved faster than anticipated. Jean-Luc Pavy, co-founder of TeamCast, has assured that "all the conversations were very positive. We are two companies with a strong commitment to innovation and our teams have a lot in common." On the other hand, geographical proximity has facilitated the acquisition since both companies are based in Rennes, France, the European center of excellence for digital video network companies.
To maintain customer focus, Enensys confirmed that TeamCast will continue to operate as an independent company. "TeamCast has many prestigious clients and partners. Some of them were a little worried about the changes that this acquisition may bring, but once they understood our willingness to guarantee continuity and take advantage of TeamCast's strengths, the response has been very positive," adds Le Roux.
