Chyron completes acquisition of Weather Suite from DTN

Weather Suite offers Chyron a weather platform with deep cross-platform access, collaboration and role-based capabilities

Chyron the acquisition of the business area has been completed Weather Suite of DTN (formerly MeteoGroup). Mathieu Yerle, vice president of product and strategy at Chyron, highlights that “the acquisition of Weather Suite offers Chyron a weather platform with deep cross-platform access, collaboration and role-based capabilities.”

“We are very pleased to be able to offer our in-depth production, service and support capabilities to Weather Suite customers,” he adds.

The current team working on the development of Weather Suite will move to Chyron, becoming a key part of the growing Chyron Weather team. With this acquisition, Chyron also partners with DTN to provide customers with weather data.

Ariel Garcia, CEO of Chyron, comments that “we have identified climate as one of our core areas for growth and innovation, and we look forward to working with the growing team to continue developing the best products for our customers.”
