LiveTally, an auxiliary tally system for wireless and wired cameras
LiveTally's wireless installation adapts to any setup, even where it can be extremely difficult to hear over traditional radio communication systems, providing both the cameras and the presenter with a visual cue when they are live.
LiveXpert It has in its portfolio an interesting solution for those who want to equip several wireless or wired cameras with a tally system. LiveTally includes a transmitter box that will connect to the mixer, and some receiver boxes with built-in LEDs, which will be installed on each camera. The connection between the transmitter and receivers could be any combination of standard RJ45/CAT5 cables and long distance wireless connection using radio frequency.

The transmitter connects to the TriCaster mixer via a USB port or any other mixer via a Tally or GPI port. Receives information from a camera's PGM output and sends a pulse to light the red LED on the receiver assigned to the camera.
LiveTally supports three states per camera: unselected, i.e. receiver disabled; Selected as preview, i.e. receiver lit green; and Program, with receiver with red light. The LiveTally transmitter offers the ability to obtain Tally Preview information for any recent TriCaster model, including TriCaster Mini. It is also compatible with any vision mixer that provides this information from its recording port (e.g. Roland mixers).
Up to 16 cameras
The new LiveTally line includes 3 models that support up to 4, 8 and 16 receivers or cameras. All transmitters include wireless capabilities and 8xRJ45 ports used to connect receivers with point-to-point CAT5 cables. A single transmitter can then simultaneously handle wireless and wired count receivers. The transmitter case integrates a small screen to show receiver statuses, an alarm button with flashing light in case a receiver is disabled, and a menu to manage receivers.
Finally, note that wireless transmission on the free frequency of 866/915MHz offers a reliable link at a distance of up to 2 km between your control room and the cameras.
LiveTally remote receivers are connected to the transmitter via RJ45 connectors and are powered directly by the transmitter via CAT5 cable.
