Goodbye to director and director Juan Alberto Valenzuela
A veteran of the field, he began his professional career at the end of the fifties in Argentina. In Spain, he held different positions of responsibility at TVE and Antena 3.
The director and television producer Juan Alberto Valenzuela died this Thursday afternoon in Madrid. Today, Friday from 10:30, he will be at the M30 Funeral Home for those colleagues who want to say goodbye and accompany his family.
Member of the Academy of Television Sciences and Arts, he began his professional career in the late 1950s in Argentina and Uruguay as a creative of advertising campaigns. He also worked as a scriptwriter, adapter and director of classic theater and new trends fotonovelas.
He joined TVE in 1967. In this network, he has been director of executive production of children's shows and contests. As a producer, he has worked in different departments of TVE, as head of production of dramatic and musical programs.
At Antena 3 he has held various positions: Executive Production Director, Executive Director of Programs and Deputy to the General Directorate of Internal Production.
In 2000 and until 2006 he was director of magazine and variety programs on TVE and on the same network, he was delegate of executive production of magazine programs. A year later he joined the ERE of the Public Corporation.
In 1990 he received the Golden Antenna from the Radio and Television Federation and in 2011 the Academy Talent Award. Juan Valenzuela recorded his professional testimony for the historical archive “Living Treasures”.
The Television Academy wanted to join in the pain and sadness over the loss of this great professional by sending a warm and affectionate message of affection to all his family, colleagues and friends.
