EditShare demonstrates the potential of Stream EFS shared storage in virtual reality environments at Siggraph
Thanks to the robust and highly resilient architecture, the versatile EFS platform supports a wide range of workflows in HD, 2K, 4K, 8K and virtual reality.
EditShare is showing at Siggraph 2017 (Los Angeles from July 30 to August 3) the potential of its XStream EFS shared storage solution in virtual reality environments.
Its highly flexible and scalable architecture supports large-scale workgroup requirements for bandwidth, high-volume media ingestion, transcoding, online collaborative editing, and cross-platform distribution of HD, 2K, 4K, 8K, and virtual reality content. Core media management capabilities provide VFX, digital brokerage, editorial, audio and 360-degree immersive productions with a critical platform to manage the entire creative workflow, including recording and proxies for raw images and media.
Thanks to the robust and highly resilient architecture, the versatile EFS platform supports a wide range of workflows, eliminating the need for facilities to purchase dedicated, single-purpose storage solutions for specific productions.
XStream EFS is already being used in virtual reality applications at PPC in Soho London and Open Road Entertainment in Los Angeles.
