EditShare Field 2 – Portable Shared Storage

EditShare Now on the market is Field 2, the next generation of portable shared storage solution with integrated media management. The platform includes file ingestion and numerous tools for sharing and storing a project with a fully portable unified solution.

This lightweight and compact offering is ideal for use in post-production studios, mobile units and remote locations.
With an integrated Flow SDI ingest add-on card, users can record up to two HD channels in industry-standard codecs such as XDCAM-EX35, Avid DNxHD and DVCProHD.

The ability to edit at the time of ingest allows users to start editing the moment they start recording.

With an optional lightweight expansion unit, a single Field 2 configuration can scale up to 32 terabytes. And, using Editshare's integrated Sync Tool, users can send data from a remote location to the base via a simple VPN Internet connection.

Field 2 is available with several 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drive options, including 10K SAS and SSD, allowing users to choose the configuration that best suits their needs.

Each set of four 3.5-inch drives can support up to eight ProRes HQ or Avid DNxHD streams or 24 25Mbps video streams such as DV25 or XDCAM-EX 25.

Field 2 uses RAID-5 and RAID-6 hardware protection. The chassis is designed for easy upgrade and maintenance, with removable drive areas and a sliding CPU tray, allowing access to all components.
