Dejero and Intelsat partner to offer a solution that combines 3G/4G and Ku band networks

Dejero CellSat combines on-demand cellular and satellite connectivity to give broadcasters greater security when broadcasting live from any point and network condition.

Dejero has started a close collaboration with the satellite operator Intelsat to offer broadcasters a new combined 3G/4G and Ku band IP solution for live television coverage from remote locations.

Dejero CellSat leverages Dejero's proprietary network mixing technology to combine cellular connectivity from multiple mobile network companies with Ku-band IP connectivity provided by Intelsat. This provides CellSat users with the required bandwidth and greater confidence to go live from virtually anywhere. If the available bandwidth of cellular connections decreases due to network congestion or other factors, CellSat automatically blends into Ku-band IP satellite connectivity to increase bandwidth to the level requested for live shooting.

The Dejero CellSat solution communicates with the satellite terminal's auto-acquisition system to simplify the satellite connection process. There is no need to schedule satellite time, saving technical teams valuable time and eliminating the restriction of broadcasting within a certain time window. In addition to managing the fluctuating bandwidth of individual cellular connections, CellSat software dynamically allocates satellite bandwidth for optimal performance.
