TV Perú concludes agreements to bring its international signal to Europe
It is also negotiating with two American companies for the distribution of its international signal before the end of the year in the United States.
The executive president of the National Institute of Radio and Television of Peru (IRTP), Hugo Coya, in an interview with the newspaper Gestión has assured that TV Perú will reach the European Union and the United Kingdom with its international signal this year.
"We hope to be signing the contract within three weeks at the latest (...). We have reached an agreement with the largest distributor of cable operators in France, Mobibase, which retransmits the signal of TV Azteca, Televisión Española, Canal 13 de Chile, BBC de London, among other channels," he explained.
Likewise, they have been negotiating with two American companies to reach the US with their international signal, which could be completed before the end of the year.
This year, IRTP aims for up to 13% of its budget to come from advertising. And they are confident of achieving it, taking into account that between January to May of this year versus the same period in 2016, they have managed to increase their advertising revenue by 3%, despite the fact that the advertising market contracted.
