The National Theater of the United Kingdom has carried out its first production in HDR / UHD thanks to the Kahuna Middle Advanced Media production mixer (SAM). The direct emission of Angels in America, Tony Kushner's epic drama has been a production of Production Company and Creative Broadcast Solutions carried out with a mobile Telegenic unit.

With a star cast, including Andrew Garfield, Nathan Lane, Russell Tovey, Denise Gough and James Mcardle, the two parts of the production were broadcast on July 20 and July 27 respectively.
Creative Broadcast Solutions convened a contest for this project that was finally awarded to the British company Telegenic Ob. Christopher Bretnall, technical producer of Creative Broadcast Solutions, commented that “as this was the 60th production, we decided to shoot at ultra high definition and test how far the high dynamic HDR range can go. Although Kahuna has been used for NT Live productions in the past, this is the first time we have used it at its maximum capacity”.
