Roberto Pascual, elected member of the new IABM EMEA Council
VSN's EMEA sales director has been chosen as a new member of the European Council of the International Association of Broadcast and Media Technology Manufacturers (IABM).
Thanks to the appointment of the VSN executive as a member of this board, VSN will continue to participate directly in the decision-making of the most important international association in the sector, as well as supporting the development and presence of IABM in the Spanish market.
“For me it is a great honor to have been elected member of the EMEA Council and to be able to contribute our vision and knowledge of the market to the European meetings, ideas and initiatives of this association,” says Pascual. “At a time of change and revolution in the broadcast industry as important as the one we have been experiencing in recent years, being able to contribute our point of view to find innovative solutions that keep the sector in constant evolution and that allow us to achieve technological excellence is undoubtedly an invaluable opportunity.”
Established in 1976, the IABM association is governed through a Board of Members that elects and appoints its directors. This Board is elected every two years and is responsible for the general functioning of the association, as well as for setting, reviewing and changing the organization's policies that are then implemented by the IABM, if necessary.
The newly formed EMEA Council features, in the words of IABM Business Development Director Darren Whitehead, “a large geographic spread to ensure the widest possible representation of all European members.” Looking ahead, IABM plans to further strengthen its presence throughout Europe through the creation of “more subsidiary local councils in Germany, Scandinavia and France”, in the words of its current President, Olen Clausen, founder and CEO of Danmon Group and Dan Technologies.
