The new IABM EMEA Member Council begins its activity

The members of the new Board, chaired by Ole Clausen (Danmon Group), come from companies based in nine European countries.

The International Association of Broadcast Media Technology Manufacturers (IABM) has just launched the new EMEA Members Council in order to give greater voice and prominence to European members. The members of the new Council come from companies based in nine European countries and will follow the work scheme of other Councils such as that of the Americas and APAC, as well as a local council in the United Kingdom.

The new EMEA Members Council held its inaugural meeting at NAB in April this year, where Ole Clausen was elected President. As founder and CEO of Danmon Group and Dan Technologies, Clausen has more than 40 years of experience in the European market. He was also awarded an Honorary Fellow of IABM in December 2016 in recognition of his inspiring service to the industry and support of IABM throughout his career.

Ole Clausen acknowledged that he was "very honored to have the opportunity as President of the EMEA Member Council to consolidate IABM's position as an important stakeholder in the industry. We intend to provide our partners with all the necessary help to navigate a world in continuous revolution. We also aim to create more subsidiary local councils, modeled after the UK council, in Germany, Scandinavia and France to further strengthen our presence across Europe."
