Gonzalo Bendala begins filming 'When angels sleep'

Este trepidante thriller que se rodará íntegramente en Sevilla y alrededores cuenta con Julián Villagrán y Marian Álvarez como protagonistas.

Gonzalo Bendala ha iniciado en Sevilla el rodaje de Cuando los ángeles duermen, un trepidante thriller donde Germán, un honrado padre de familia, verá cómo todo su mundo se tambalea la noche en que, conduciendo de regreso a casa, atropella accidentalmente a dos chicas adolescentes. A partir de ese momento, Germán tendrá que hacer todo cuanto esté en su mano para evitar que su vida quede destrozada para siempre.

Starring Julián Villagrán (winner of a Goya for Group 7), Marian Álvarez (winner of a Goya for The Wound) and the presentation of Ester Expósito, the film will be shot entirely in Seville and surrounding areas.

Producer, director and screenwriter, Gonzalo Bendala was born in Seville in 1978. In 2004 he founded Áralan Films with Marta Velasco, a company with which he develops most of his projects. Innocent Murdererss (2015) is his first fiction feature as a director, which, among other festivals, screened at the Miami International Film Festival, Chicago Festival, Brussels, Fant de Bilbao and Málaga. In his role as producer, the feature film stands out The Wild Children (2012) by Patricia Ferreira, as well as the animated short film Spaghetti Western (2008), nominated for the Goya Awards, and for which he was also the scriptwriter and artistic director. When Angels Sleep is his second film as a director.

Áralan Films, a production company owned by Gonzalo Bendala and Marta Velasco, debuted in the world of production with The Wild Children (2012), awarded three silver biznagas at the Malaga Festival, nominated for three Goya Awards and winner of a Gaudi for best actor. They also participated in the award-winning The boys and Guillaume, at the table. In 2015 they released Innocent Killers, and they are currently pending release Oro by Agustín Díaz Yanes and Who will sing to you by Carlos Vermut, in addition to working on the development of new projects by Juan Miguel del Castillo and Patricia Ferreira.
