All presentations and round tables at the 4K Summit are offered for Europe and Latin America in 4K-HDR through the Hispasat 4K channel.

4K SUMMIT 2017

The sessions of the 4K Summit that is being celebrated these days in Malaga are being transmitted by satellite to stations in European and Latin American countries through Hispasat, which since 2015 has had a 4K-HDR channel in testing through which it broadcasts various content produced by RTVE and independent short documentaries.

The 4K-HDR signal will be originally generated by Sony, which brings to the operation one of its Ultra High Definition (UHD) gems, its HDC-4300 live production camera. The camera will be equipped with 4K optics Fujifilm, specifically with Fujinon UA18x5.5 BERD optics n/s 2310008.

The signal will be made in the 4K mobile unit of the Andalusian production company Huri, which already participated in the experimental broadcast that RTVE organized in 2016 from the Teatro Real in Madrid with the opera Parsifal and in 2017 the Changing of the Guard at the Royal Palace of Madrid.

The experience of this retransmission of the Changing of the Guard will be the subject of study at the 4K Summit in Malaga, where the director of La2 de TVE, Juan Manuel Hidalgo, who leads the 4K project on Spanish Radio Television, has traveled.

The 4K Summit, organized by Medina Medina with Panorama Audiovisual as main media partner, in addition to being recognized as the international reference event for Ultra High Definition, is also a test bed in which the main networks and technology companies show their latest advances and experiences to the more than 300 attendees gathered in the capital of the Costa del Sol.
