RTVE Aragón inaugurates its new facilities in the Expo Zaragoza space
They integrate all radio and television services in Aragon and have an area of 1,500 m2, three radio studios, a television studio and a unified digital newsroom.
Since this Monday, RTVE Aragón begins to broadcast from its new facilities in the Expo space in Zaragoza, which integrate all the audiovisual services of the Corporation in the Community, both radio and television. The opening ceremony held last Friday was attended by the president of Aragon, Javier Lambán, and the president of RTVE, José Antonio Sánchez. The director of the Territorial Center, Pepe Quílez, as well as different authorities from Aragon and those responsible for RTVE, were also present at the inauguration.
The total constructed area in the new territorial center is 1,526 m², with a useful area of 1,406 m², distributed over two floors where three radio studios have been built and equipped with their corresponding controls (one of the studios with image capture), with an approximate area of 170 m2, as well as 2 broadcasting booths and 2 video editing booths. It also has a television studio with production control and a news set with an area of 180m². The new sets, in line with the general image presented by TVE's national news programs, include two different sets, the first for territorial news programs and a second set for interviews.
The center has an intake room, offices, meeting and videoconference room, hair and makeup, technical controls, multipurpose room,…
José Miguel Mata, head of media at RTVE Aragón, recognizes that "the change has been radical. We went from an analogue edition to a unified, modern digital newsroom integrated with the Madrid systems."
The unified digital newsroom between Spanish Television and National Radio has 32 jobs that work on a 1 Gbps Ethernet network that allows sending and receiving audio, video and data signals.
The launch of these new facilities, located on Avenida de Ranillas 5, means the closure of those used until now on Albareda Street (RNE) and Paseo de Ruiseñores (TVE). The entire property has access for people with reduced mobility.
