The 5GForum will be held on April 25 and 26 in Malaga
The 5GForum will be the first multidisciplinary and annual meeting on 5G in Spain and will take place at the Digital Content Hub in the capital of the Costa del Sol.
He 5GForum, organized by Medina Media, will celebrate its first edition on the days April 25 and 26, 2018 in it Malaga Digital Content Hub and it will be the first multidisciplinary and annual event on 5G in Spain.
The agenda and main speakers will be announced on March 1, the date on which registration will open for a capacity limited to 250 attendees.
Participants, in addition to first-class networking at breakfasts, happy hours and cocktails with “Sabor a Málaga”, will be able to enjoy more than 15 presentations, 7 round tables, demonstrations and workshops in the 6,000 square meters of the Digital Content Center of Málaga on Wednesday, April 25 and Thursday, April 26.
Compared to other vertical conferences, in which only one aspect of this new technology is addressed, the 5GForum will address the possibilities that are opening up in the Internet of Things (IoT), Smartcities, Connected Vehicles, eHealth, Emergencies, Entertainment, Media…
Professors and professors from universities such as the UMA of Malaga, and the Polytechnic and Carlos III of Madrid will present their work related to this technology in different fields of experimentation in the 5GForum Auditorium.
Another aspect that will also be addressed at the 5GForum will be deployment of 5G both in cities and rural areas.
5G deployment plan
City councils, councils, autonomous communities and the central government will also have representatives at this event, which will be held just two months before Spain presents its 5G deployment plan to the European Commission, on June 30.
The launch of 5G in Spain and in the rest of the countries of the European Union is scheduled for 2020 and, among other things, it will involve the relocation of the frequencies of the DTT channels to make room for telecommunications operators so that they can implement this new technology.
The 5GForum will be held annually to observe the evolution of this new technology, called to revolutionize digital communications and change the way in which citizens and machines communicate with each other.
Medina Media also plans to celebrate this year the second edition of the Virtual Reality Observatory on July 18 and 19; and the fourth edition of the 4K HDR Summit, on November 7, 8 and 9, also at the Digital Content Hub in the capital of the Costa del Sol.
