El Sol will be celebrated on October 21 and 22 in Madrid
As a preventive measure due to the current situation derived from the coronavirus pandemic, the organization of the Ibero-American Festival of Advertising Communication has decided to postpone its 35th edition.

The Ibero-American Festival of Advertising Communication has announced that the 35th edition of the festival will not be held on June 3 and Thursday, June 4, 2020, at the Teatro Circo Price in Madrid, as a preventive measure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, The Sun moves to the days October 21 and 22, one week before Cannes Lions.
Due to this change in dates, it is possible that a change of scenery will occur, although the city of Madrid will be the headquarters in any case.
In addition to changing its date, the organization of El Sol remains attentive to the instructions and recommendations of the authorities of the Government of Spain, the World Health Organization and the pulse of current events to adapt decisions according to the evolution of the pandemic and the general situation in Spain and in the world.
El Sol is one of the fifteen reference festivals for the elaboration of the ranking WARC (former Gunn Report), world ranking of the best campaigns prepared based on the awards they obtained in festivals and competitions. In Spain, El Sol, along with the Eficacia Awards, is one of the two advertising awards most valued by advertisers nationwide (according to the consulting firm Scopen).
