Grass Valley equips the Mexican Canal Judicial

GV Stratus, Edius and K2 Summit servers offer flexibility as the channel expands its news programming.

Judicial Channel offers viewers in Mexico a first-hand look at the news generated by the country's Supreme Court. With dozens of live cases and educational programs airing each day, the channel needed solutions that could scale with its growing content demands.

Grass Valley has equipped this facility with the content production and management system GV Stratus, non-linear editors Edius 8, the storage system K2 10G RAID y K2 Summit 3D.

GV Stratus Express and GV Stratus Elite HR help Canal Judicial keep up with its fast-paced judicial scheduling and manage multiple news production workflows quickly and efficiently as users can tailor the solution's production tools based on their role.

GV Stratus efficiently handles the entire content creation and delivery process across multiple digital media platforms, and the video production and content management system also includes full integration with Edius, the most versatile and fastest non-linear editing software available. Whether in the courtroom or the studio, Edius Workgroup 8 offers more formats and more resolutions in real time, giving you the ability to edit anything, anywhere. For post-production of Canal Judicial news programs and live broadcasts, the editing software offers real-time editing without rendering in both SD, HD and 4K.

GV Stratus and Edius are also fully integrated with K2 10G RAID Storage and K2 Summit 3G Transmission Clients so that end content can be stored and distributed efficiently. The K2 10G RAID storage system is fully scalable with SAS storage drives, 8Gb/s Fiber Channel hardware RAID controllers, redundant connectivity, hot-swappable power supplies, and high-performance bandwidth delivery.
