Avid brings the cloud, artificial intelligence and collaborative work to BIT Audiovisual
Datos Media, Aicox, SeeSound y Sesaudio demuestran en BIT Audiovisual las nuevas posibilidades para entornos de producción, postproducción, grafismo y audio de Avid.
Avid está presente en el Salón Profesional de la Tecnología Audiovisual, BIT Audiovisual 2018, from May 8 to 10 at IFEMA-Feria de Madrid through Data Media (stand 7C10), Aicox Soluciones (7C11) and SeeSound (7F01A) and Sesaudio (7C16).
On the part of Data Average, at its stand we can see everything related to collaborative audiovisual production in the cloud, the latest graphics and virtual solutions, as well as content management.
In terms of cloud, Avid now has Avid On Demand, a SaaS cloud solutions and services platform that provides on-demand media production capabilities. It will allow average companies to deploy the capabilities they need per project with optimal elasticity, and without a lengthy implementation phase or large capital outlay.
These services include Avid AI, a new set of capabilities from Avid and third parties that automates content indexing, such as subtitle verification, language detection, facial recognition, scene detection and speech-to-text conversion. Featured AI services from its collaboration with Microsoft include Avid Phonetic Search, Avid Illuminate On Demand, Microsoft Cognitive Services and Avid Transformation.
As for Avid in the cloud, Data Media will showcase workflows through the MediaCentral Cloud UX platform, whose interface makes it easy to access and work on projects from anywhere, using any device.
Extending the benefits of MediaCentral, Avid has also expanded its comprehensive product offering with innovative advancements for creative professionals, production teams and media companies across news, sports, live production and post-production.
For post-production environments, new tools in Media Composer and the new Avid Nexis E5 NL nearline storage solution stand out. With the addition of this high-density on-premises solution to the Avid Nexis software-defined storage platform, users will be able to transparently and efficiently manage media across their online, nearline and archive storage resources.
Graphics
As far as graphic systems are concerned, at BIT Audiovisual we will be able to see for the first time the Maestro News solution integrated with the MediaCentral Cloud UX platform. We will also have to be attentive to the possibilities that Xync 2 offers in virtual environments and the power of the Unreal engine.
Those interested in real-time sports graphics systems cannot miss the demonstrations that Aicox Solutions will take place with Maestro Live and Maestro TX.
Also new from Avid is Maestro PowerWall, the next generation of Maestro, the PowerWall display control and management solution that puts the power of UHD quality graphics in the hands of any broadcaster allowing them to create and present 3D graphics and video content on multiple displays, regardless of size, dimension or resolution. The successor to Maestro TD Control offers powerful video wall capabilities, a high-performance video processing engine, and data-driven real-time graphics to more easily and quickly infuse news, sports, and entertainment broadcasts with greater excitement to captivate viewers.
Audio
Regarding audio, SeaSound will reveal the secrets of the S6L platform. The S6L family now features three new control surfaces, a new motor and two new I/O racks, all on a unified platform. Offering unmatched modularity, scalability and flexibility to meet any production size, space or budget required, Venue S6L is the only live sound platform with 100% software, hardware and sample file compatibility across all system components.
Sesaudio (booth 7C16) will also exhibit at its booth Pro Tools 2018, the new version of Avid's flagship DAW that in addition to renewing its name now integrates important improvements for music creation and working with MIDI, and Pro Tools MTRX, the new and versatile Pro Tools MTRX audio interface for Pro Tools HDX and HD Native.
