The journalist Paco Costas He died yesterday, Wednesday, July 11, in Madrid at age 86 after a long illness.

Member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, he was a pioneer of television road safety with programs such as The Second Chance, emitido entre 1978 y 1979 y realizado por Fernando Navarrete. Se trataba de un espacio divulgativo de TVE con guiones y presentación de Paco Costas, en el que aconsejaba a los telespectadores sobre las correctas prácticas al volante.

En 2011 dejó grabado su testimonio para el archivo documental de la Academia de Televisión que servirá a presentes y futuras generaciones para descubrir, en primera persona, la historia de la televisión en España.
