The new update includes visual effects, graphic animations, additional audio tools and hundreds of improvements and features requested by editors and colorists.

DaVinci Resolve 15

The final version of DaVinci Resolve 15, the professional editing, grading, visual effects, graphic animations and audio post-production program from Blackmagic Design, is now available and can be downloaded for free from the manufacturer's website.

During the last few months, numerous users have participated in the development of the beta version, testing different work dynamics with the program, reporting errors and helping to make DaVinci Resolve 15 even more reliable.

DaVinci Resolve 15The new version of DaVinci Resolve 15 is a major update that offers visual effects and graphical animations. In this way, the program has become the only solution that integrates these features with editing, grading, audio post-production and collaboration tools between multiple users. It includes a Fusion module with more than 250 functions that allow you to compose, retouch images, generate particles, create animated titles and much more. Likewise, it has optimized Fairlight module and more than 300 improvements requested by editors and colorists have been implemented.

This solution continues to revolutionize the audiovisual post-production industry by integrating four high-end applications in different modules within the same program. The Editing module offers all the tools that professional editors need, while the Color module provides advanced grading features.

For its part, the Fairlight module has been specifically designed for audio post-production, and the new Fusion module has everything you need to create cinema-quality animations and special effects. Just one click is enough to switch between all of these features. This gives the user greater creative flexibility as they can explore different features and learn how to use them. At the same time, it encourages collaboration between various artists who can work simultaneously on the same project.

Thanks to all these innovative tools, DaVinci Resolve 15 Studio was awarded this year with the prestigious Engineering Excellence Award from the HPA (Hollywood Professional Association).

Streamlining post-production

DaVinci Resolve 15 significantly speeds up post-production, as you no longer need to import, export, or move audiovisual material from one application to another, or to conform it when making changes. Everything is integrated into the same program.

It can be used to carry out professional work and has more features than other non-free applications. For its part, the DaVinci Resolve 15 Studio version also offers collaboration functions between multiple users, tools for three-dimensional and virtual reality content, dozens of additional filters and effects, unlimited simultaneous rendering and other advanced features, such as spatial and temporal noise reduction, for only $299. It is not necessary to pay licenses or annual subscriptions.

Grant Petty, CEO of Blackmagic Design, notes that “the DaVinci Resolve 15 public beta has been downloaded more times than any other in the program's history, user feedback has been incredible, and more professional editors are adopting it faster than ever before.”

"Users have access to a set of editing and cropping tools comparable to other systems, advanced color grading capabilities, a digital audio workstation and now the ability to create visual effects and graphic animations. Not only is it unlike any other program on the market, it is also redefining professional workflows with multiple users in Hollywood and around the world. Now different teams of editors, colorists and sound and visual effects specialists can collaborate simultaneously on the same project using one single application,” he adds.
