Filmax and ACEC Cinemas inaugurate the first cinema with 4DX in Catalonia
The 4DX system from the South Korean company CJ incorporates a total of 21 synchronized effects in the projection.
Los Filmax Gran Vía Cinemas in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona) will be made available to the public from this Friday, November 16, coinciding with the premiere of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, the first room in Catalonia with 4DX technology. And they do it hand in hand with the South Korean company CJ.
The 4DX system incorporates a total of 21 synchronized effects into the projection. The viewer has the opportunity to see the main premieres of the billboard with effects of movement, air, water, heat, aromas, vibrations, as well as meteorological elements such as fog, wind, lightning and bubbles.
This cutting-edge technology ensures that the effects are synchronised with the action and sound on the screen, so that viewers experience a 360-degree immersion in the film.
Since its launch in 2009, more than 550 Hollywood blockbuster films have been screened in 4DX, surpassing 76 million viewers worldwide.
