Formula 1 in 360º virtual reality from the Spanish company The Dream VR

Barcelona-based Dream VR will offer access to Formula 1 events to its more than 3 million users in more than 180 countries.

Formula 1 has signed a collaboration agreement with the 360º virtual reality solutions provider The Dream VR, based in Barcelona, ​​to launch a fully immersive VR application.

Motorsports fans around the world will now be able to enjoy Formula 1 in a 360° immersive environment. Dream VR will offer access to Formula 1 events to its more than 3 million users in more than 180 countries.

Through the new F1 VR and 360º channel, available on any device compatible with The Dream VR application, users will be able to share the excitement of the starting grid, podium celebrations and hot Pirelli laps. They will also be able to “walk” through the paddock or enter exclusive areas usually not accessible to the public.

In addition to the 2018 Mexican Grand Prix and the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi, a total of ten races will be produced in VR over the next year

Albert Gomà, Director of Digital Licensing and Partnerships at Formula 1, assures that "we are always looking for innovative ways to help fans get closer to their favorite drivers and teams and, through this progressive partnership with The Dream VR, we have found another way to achieve this. We are very excited to be able to offer another unique immersive and interactive experience to our fans, wherever they are."

Formula 1 is a sport in which the details make the difference: what better than to offer its fans the opportunity to experience the races up close, next to the Paddock Club, in the teams' garages and with independence to decide when and what to watch?
