The hunt. Monteperdido has just finished filming. Megan Montaner, Alain Hernández and Francis Lorenzo lead the cast of the new fiction of RTVE, in collaboration with DLO Productions, which has been recorded for several months in natural locations, among which the Aragonese Pyrenees stands out. A unique enclave that inspired Agustín Martínez, author of the best-seller on which this fiction is based, to frame the story.

Filming took place in the region of La Ribagorza where a large part of the exteriors of the series have been recorded. The streets of Benasque and Cerler are chosen to represent the fictional town of Monteperdido. In addition, other places such as Llanos del Hospital, the Remuñe ravine, La Besurta, the Benasque forests, the Ésera river or Senarta have served as natural settings for many scenes.

For the producers of the series, the Benasque Valley was the perfect place that the novel describes, with a magic and a nature that becomes another character in the story. A complex and laborious environment with locations that are difficult to access, a real production challenge for the technical and artistic team.

The series was recorded with 7K cameras, something unusual in Spanish fiction and that will allow 'The Hunt. Monteperdido’ stands out for its aesthetic and technical invoice.

Salvador García Ruiz and Álvaro Ron are the directors and Megan Montaner, Alain Hernández and Francis Lorenzo lead the cast. The casting is completed by Pablo Derqui, Bea Segura, Carla Díaz, Jorge Bosch, Mar Sodupe, Ester Expósito, Laura Moray, Chechu Salgado, Patxi Freytez, David Solans and Juan Díaz, with the special collaboration of Beatriz Carvajal and Jordi Sánchez.

The hunt. Monteperdido

An international best-seller

Five years ago, two eleven-year-old girls, Ana and Lucía, disappeared in Monteperdido, a town in the Pyrenees. After an extensive search, the case was never solved and the neighbors were left scarred by the tragedy. Now, one of the girls, Ana, has returned. Two UCO agents specialized in disappearances, Santiago Baín, a lieutenant at the end of his career, and Sara Campos, a young sergeant, will work alongside the local Civil Guard corporal in an investigation that will soon be revealed as a labyrinth.
Ana cannot say practically anything about her captor, who always avoided showing his identity.

The authorities will throw themselves into the case to find Lucía, but the inhabitants of Monteperdido, even the families of the girls trapped in their secrets and lies, will not make it easy for the investigators. One thing is clear: the monster is among them and the agents will begin a hunt that will put their own lives in danger.

The series, which has a script by Agustín Martínez, Antonio Mercero, Miguel Sáez Carral, Jorge Díaz and Luis Moya, is based on the novel Monteperdido, by Agustín Martínez. Translation rights have been sold to Germany, France, Holland and the United Kingdom, and editions are pending in China, Serbia, Portugal, Greece, Taiwan, Italy and Denmark.
