Ross Video prepares for the production of the great sporting event in Atlanta
The Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atalanta, opened in the summer of 2017 with a budget of more than $1.6 billion, features a wide variety of solutions from Ross Video.
As the clock ticks down to one of the world's most-watched sporting events on February 3 in Atlanta, Georgia, the technical and creative staff at Ross Video, along with Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment (VWSE), have been working hard to prepare an electrifying experience in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Ross Video is no stranger to the place; The Mercedes-Benz stadium was inaugurated in the summer of 2017, with a budget of more than 1.6 billion dollars. It offers a wide variety of Ross solutions and has many eye-catching features, the most visible of which is the giant Halo LED screen which measures more than 335 meters wide and almost 18 meters high, with an astonishing resolution of 21,512 x 1,152 pixels.
Powering the massive LED screen of Daktronics the system is found IP Ross XPression Tessera, an engine of real-time 3D graphics rendering which can drive any pixel of the LED screen precisely. Tessera is also being used to feed content to the 30-metre Mega Column screen at the north end of the stadium. In the control room, two Ross Acuity 6ME IP Production Mixers They are being used to cut the live home programs before, during and after the game.
Control of all production in the stadium is carried out by the control system Ross DashBoard, which controls all Ross products through the RossTalk protocol. It also controls many third-party products such as internal IP TV, a video matrix, LED fascia digital media servers, LED accent lights and video processors.

In addition to the already robust in-game production, Ross will also add a turnkey XPression Augmented Reality (AR) system to the sports fixture production, rendering the AR unit's graphics to enhance the fan experience.

Ross Unified Venue Solution also played a big role in Opening Night, which was held at the State Farm Arena, where a similar control system was installed that went live in the fall of 2018.
