Last Will and Tornasol finish filming 'A Normal World'
Achero Mañas' new film has photography by David Omedes and has been filmed in locations in Madrid and Valencia.
Last Will Producciones AIE y Tornasol Films They have completed filming A normal world, the new movie Achero Mañas. Scripted and directed by Mañas, the film was filmed in different locations between Madrid and Valencia.
Achero Mañas achieved great success with The Ball (2000), with which he won two Goya awards for best original screenplay and best new director and November (2003), with which he won the Fipresci award at the Toronto International Festival.
The film stars Ernesto Alterio (Narcos, The Shadow of the Law, Perfect Strangers, Widows of Thursdays), and among the rest of the cast, Magüi Mira (director and protagonist of great plays such as: Molly Bloom, The Anarchist, Silver Tongues…. and his latest film works such as In the stars, The one that is coming), Laura Mañas (Everything you want), Pau Durà (Formentera Lady, La Zona, The chess player, I don't know how to say goodbye) or Ruth Díaz (Vis a Vis, Under the skin of the wolf, winner of the Goya for best new actress for Late for anger).
The film, which features David Omedes in charge of photography direction y Uxua Castelló as art director, will be distributed in Spanish theaters by DeAPlanet.
A normal world tells the life of Ernesto, an eccentric and nonconformist theater director, who receives the news of his mother's death. On the way to the cemetery he steals the coffin to throw the body into the ocean as he wished. His daughter, tired of crazy things, accompanies him with the intention of changing his mind. On the trip he will discover that his father is not crazy and that one must be true to oneself even if this, sometimes, means going against the opinion of the majority.
