The combination of the two companies provides a motor force in the Transition to IP video in live production, with NDI and SMPTE 2110 protocols, each with different needs. The company will offer flexible and end -to -end workflows at all levels of production, software -based products for media, sports, entertainment, education ...
Michael Hallen, Vizrt CEO, says that "the combination of both companies will allow us to pursue our joint vision of software -based video production using the power and flexibility of computer systems. And the resulting business will be well positioned to offer complete systems that provide creative power to any company that has the ambition to produce content on any platform."
For its part, Andrew Corss, President and Technology Director of Newtek, states that “taking advantage of the computational power and software and network technologies to make the video more accessible and easy to create has always been the Newtek mission. These transformations have revolutionized the way the stories are told, allowing everyone to create and share a program”.
Once the purchase-sale operation, Michael Hallen will direct the business as president and CEO of Vizrt and Andrew Corsss, current president and CTO of Newtek, will assume the role of president of research and development of the new company.
