Clear-Com demonstrates IP-based intercom solutions at NAB
IP solutions meet all intercom requirements, including wireless, mobile and remote production.
In NAB 2019, Clear-Com presents a wide range of IP-based intercom tools products, including IP matrix, wireless and mobile solutions for all types of production workflows, including remote production.
Solutions available for demonstration at both include the new intercom panel Iris V-Series, which provides users of Eclipse HX a low-latency AES67 audio over IP (AIPS) connection. This panel can monitor and send communications in three simultaneous duplex uncompressed IP audio streams, allowing systems to deliver high-quality, user-to-user, uncompressed AES67 audio with significantly reduced latency.
When connected to Clear-Com's high-density E-IPA audio card and IP intercom card, which natively supports AES67, users can deploy up to 64 Iris panels per card. Iris V-Series panels also feature user-configurable color OLED displays to help organize and quickly locate keys with similar functions.
The Iris V-Series panel is optimized for use with the software Eclipse HX (EHX) version 11 to fully implement its AES67 connectivity; It also has IR compression. In addition to basic IP connections and 4-wire analog connections for compatibility with older versions of Eclipse, running EHX 10.0 or earlier.
The FreeSpeak II wireless intercom system is also part of Clear-Com's IP history. The transceiver FreeSpeak II IPT It has AES67 support, low latency signal distribution, high radio performance and high audio bandwidth, allowing FreeSpeak II wireless beltpacks to be deployed on a user's LAN. The IP Transceiver connects to an AES67 compatible IP router and the Clear-Com Eclipse HX system via the E-IPA card.
For outside broadcast or large team production, the Clear-Com Agent-IC mobile app can be downloaded to Apple or Android mobile devices, securely and reliably connecting to key intercom users over multiple IP networks via 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi.
LQ series IP interfaces allow users to use audio over IP wherever they are and expand their intercom area by connecting virtually any type and brand of intercom or audio device via Audio-over-IP, SIP, GPIO, 2-wire, 4-wire and with iOS or Android mobile intercom applications from Agent-IC.
Remote production
Remote production is further simplified with the solution COMduit Transport and Intercom for remote production. Series devices BroaMan, ProGrid and LQ They are configured to carry all of your signals together over a fiber cable from the mobile unit to the annunciator or side booth.
Clear-Com's vice president of product management, Simon Browne, assured Panorama Audiovisual that "we are looking for wireless solutions over IP, IP interfaces, virtual panels via smartphone and connections between all systems. In addition, we have many options for cards such as MADI and AES 67, which is the third generation of digital connectivity."
