The Egyptian National Media Authority (ENMA) has selected the convergent video header of Atem to cover the African Cup of Nations 2019, which will take place from June 21 to July 19.

Ateme has provided ENMA with a complete video headend solution based on its Kyrion encoders/decoders and in the Titan pure software multiplexer. The system is installed in twelve sites throughout Egypt to feed ASI signals to DTT television broadcasters and under the G.703 E3 standard to existing networks.

During the event, ENMA will use BISS-CA, the new encryption standard from EBU Tech – EBU Tech 3292-s1. The standard developed by the European Broadcasting Union, in close collaboration with major industry players including Ateme, has been integrated into Ateme solutions to ensure the secure transmission of ENMA feeds to all twelve sites.

Using Ateme's best-in-class technology, Kyrion's compression capabilities and the efficient Titan software-based solution has enabled ENMA to install a high-quality video platform that provides exceptional TV channel encoding from SDI to ASI with video synchronization. video/audio. Ateme's solution provides ENMA with high-quality remuxing capabilities and other benefits, such as reduced OPEX and CAPEX costs through bandwidth efficiency.
